Recital Lil Watan

In a moving national atmosphere and before a large official, religious and social audience, “Recital for the Nation” was held on Friday, 12 June 2026 in Shnannir, at the invitation of the Parish of Saint Phocas – Ghadir, in support of the people of South Lebanon.

The evening welcomed Minister of Tourism Laura Khazen, representing President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, alongside members of parliament, judges, judicial, religious, social and media figures, and a large audience of guests and supporters.

An evening of solidarity and national unity

The event opened with the Lebanese national anthem. Media presenter Majed Bou Hdeir then introduced the programme and invited Father Joseph Salloum, parish priest of Saint Phocas – Ghadir and organiser of the recital, to address the audience.

In his remarks, Father Salloum stressed the importance of national solidarity and standing beside the people of the South during difficult circumstances. He underlined that Lebanon remains stronger through the unity, cooperation and commitment of its people.

Bishop Yuhanna Rafic El Warsha also addressed the gathering, blessing the national and humanitarian initiative, commending the efforts behind it, and affirming that the message of love and solidarity is stronger than every challenge.

Music, prayer and poetry

The evening featured a series of artistic and spiritual moments. Singer and chanter Carine Jaajaa performed hymns and devotional songs that deeply resonated with the audience.

Poet Nizar Francis delivered an emotional patriotic poem reflecting on the suffering of South Lebanon, the resilience of its people, and their attachment to their land and dignity.

The programme concluded with a special appearance by The Four Knights, who brought powerful national songs to the stage and drew an enthusiastic response from the audience, creating a moment that reflected the unity of the Lebanese people around their country.

More than a concert

At the end of the evening, the organisers thanked all participants, supporters and guests who contributed to the success of the initiative.

“Recital for the Nation” was presented not simply as an artistic evening, but as a message of love, solidarity and hope: an expression of commitment to Lebanon and support for its people, and a reminder that art, words and prayer can remain bridges that bring Lebanese people together around one country and a better future.
